The Story: Grit Meets Integrity

The Giant tells the story of Sheriff Clay “Giant” Walker, a towering, aging sheriff trying to uphold justice in a rapidly changing small town as he battles corruption, outlaws and his own inner demons. The Giant follows Sheriff Clay “Giant” Walker“ and his team of deputies as they investigate a rash of crime and murders in their small town. Alongside his loyal team of deputies, Giant must navigate shifting loyalties, secrets, and the rise of dangerous criminal elements.

As the town is flooded with new residents—many with shadowy intentions—tensions rise. Who can be trusted? Can law and order still prevail in an era of blurred moral lines?

The film/series explores themes of justice vs corruption by exploring the gray areas of law enforcement in a world where the lines between good and evil are blurred. It searches to examine the clash between old-school values and the challenges of a rapidly evolving society.

Complete Season Scripted and Ready for Distribution

With a fully scripted first season consisting of six episodes—each with a 45-minute runtime—The Giant is poised for distribution through Black Wolf Media Group under the leadership of Alan Ashford. The series follows an AVOD model, allowing for advertiser-supported streaming.

A Vetted Veteran Production

What truly gives The Giant its edge of its team. Created by Kevin B. Ploth—a U.S. Army Veteran and SAG-AFTRA talent—this project is a vetted veteran-led production. Many members of the cast and crew are either military veterans or first responders, lending the show a palpable sense of realism and discipline.

Charlie Parrish, producer and stunt coordinator, is a veteran whose resume includes time in the 101st Airborne Division, instructing in firearms and unarmed defense. A seasoned stuntman, Parrish brings raw experience from both battlefield and set.

Doug Marcaida, who plays “Ace 2” and serves as a producer, is a U.S. Air Force veteran, respiratory therapist, and world-renowned knife and Kali master. Known for his role as a judge on Forged in Fire, Marcaida brings combat credibility and martial artistry to the screen.

Anthony DeLongis, portraying “Ace 1,” is a master of bladed arts with a decades-spanning career in film and television. He is a Black Belt Hall of Famer and a teacher of multiple international martial traditions. His IMDb reads like an action legend’s diary—from horseback swordplay to precision weapon work, DeLongis is a living masterclass.

An Award-Winning Team

Behind the lens, Larry Gress handles cinematography, while Amanda Terry heads HMU and practical FX. The original score comes from Jordan Bennett, setting an emotional and atmospheric tone.

Producers include Vanessa Thorpe, Mike Harper, Eddy and Chris Rich, Kelley Polling, and more, many of whom appear in the show in key roles—most notably Eddy Rich as Uncle Walker.

Among the standout executive producers is Eli Jane, who also stars as Sara. Jane is an accomplished American actress known for her versatility and deeply rooted family values. Raised in a supportive, athletic household—her father was a quarterback at the Air Force Academy, and her mother a cheerleader-turned-educator—Eli was homeschooled and went on to excel in gymnastics and cheer. Her family’s legacy lives on through a scholarship at Central Michigan University for students in sports and the arts.

With extensive acting training from elite coaches like Ivana Chubbuck and Michelle Danner, Eli has earned her place among Hollywood’s most promising talents. Her performances are layered with strength, emotion, and integrity—much like the series itself.

Michael Harper(Executive Producer of GIANT, This Stitching Will Last)is a Phoenix area dentist who owns the outdoor sporting goods company Patriot Tactical.   Having spent his life in Arizona, he has deep ties to the community and enjoys supporting his local fire department, where his two brothers serve as captains.  He is a family man with a wife and daughter.  Drawing on his experience with firearms and tactical equipment, Mike Harper consults with and provides prop weapons for ARTIMIS TV productions.
