David Sweat is an American actor making a rise in the entertainment industry. With roles in commercials and recent projects like “Dragged Off,” “Love Me, Stupid,” “Bad Psychiatrist,” and “Love by Design,” David’s unique background and dedication to acting truly set him apart. Actor David Sweat went to Goose Creek High School (C/O 1987) in South Carolina. After graduating, he served in the US Navy from 1988 to 1998 as a Hospital Corpsman, Fleet Marine Force, where he participated in Desert Shield/Storm. Born in Charleston, SC, David carries a distinct Southern dialogue, adding authenticity and charm to his diverse characters. Beyond acting, David holds a BA in Health Care Administration and shares his knowledge by teaching High School Carpentry, Manufacturing, and OSHA. Currently residing in California, he also is known for showcasing his comedic skills as an improv performer with LA Connection Comedy Theatre.

When asked about his favorite aspect of a new film project, David said,. “My favorite part is always being cast on a set, but also seeing the finished product and sharing it with my family and friends back home in South Carolina is a huge plus, especially my classmates from high school.” That connection to his roots keeps David grounded as he navigates the world of Hollywood.
Memorable Moments on Set
“I have had several memorable moments,” David shares when asked about his most cherished on-set experiences. “From going to Sunset Studios, where Lucy Ball once performed, and being on set with a real grizzly bear, there is also the cast, crew, and directors of NCIS Origins that I had the pleasure to be on set with. Each time I get a call to be on set is great; I enjoy being in front of the camera and acting.”- David Sweat
The Power of Support
David also highlighted the importance of having a strong support system, especially his girlfriend, Jennifer. “My girlfriend Jennifer adds to the mix as she is very supportive and is often with me when I am at my acting class. She is also my reader for my auditions and often auditions for the couple roles we are submitted for. And at times, she is permitted to be on set and watches and provides me feedback on a few things.”
For David, having Jennifer by his side is invaluable. “So, in short, it is all fun, but having a super strong support team that I have with Jennifer is just as exciting as being in front of a camera.”
