He attended Holy Family Preschool and graduated from Kearny High School, all while continuing to further pursue his passion for the arts. At 18, Mitch trained at various acting schools in San Diego, delving into theater, film, and improv.
At the age of 20, Alcala made a significant leap when he relocated to Bonsall with his family. This move marked an essential step in his career, as he began attending the JDS Actors Studio in Temecula. Here, he was immersed in one-act plays, an experience that not only honed his craft but also helped him secure his first agent. It was a memorable moment that would pave the way for numerous opportunities in the entertainment industry.
Alcala took on small films and commercials, gradually making a name for himself. At 26, Mitch Alcala moved to the heart of the entertainment industry, Los Angeles, California continuing to grow and pursue a professional career in the film industry.
