Star Talent Spotlight: Actress Chiara Gheller in Upcoming Docuseries Green or Go!

Avatar

Chiara Gheller is making a rise in the film industry as a versatile actress in both film and theater. Born in Charleroi, Belgium, and having lived in various cities across Europe, including Modica, Sicily, Chiara moved to Hollywood, California, to pursue a professional career in acting while bringing a unique skill to her acting—she is known for her ability to perform in different languages!

Upcoming Docuseries: “Green or Go: Chasing the Hollywood Dream”

Chiara Gheller recently wrapped a docuseries that is now confirmed to be in post-production status! ‘Green or Go: Chasing the Hollywood Dream,’ slated for release in late April or early May!

“Green or Go” offers a look into the realities faced by international students striving to build careers in the competitive world of Hollywood. The series follows the journey of four talented individuals, Aline Humbert, Chiara Gheller, Maria Sole Quintili, and Gev Gulian, as they navigate the complexities of leaving their home countries and entering the U.S. on student visas.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of Los Angeles, CA, the series delves into the unique challenges faced by talent. From navigating visa requirements and cultural differences to battling industry pressures and personal sacrifices, “Green or Go” provides an in-depth and often difficult perspective on the pursuit of dreams in a foreign land.

The series promises a compelling series with ambition, resilience, and the unwavering pursuit of creative expression. It explores the hopes, struggles, and ultimate choices these students face as they attempt to make their mark in the entertainment capital of the world.

We had the opportunity to interview Actress Chiara Gheller and have a deeper look inside her acting process and more. Read below our interview with Actress Chiara Gheller and follow her on official site links below!

The Power of Substitution: Becoming the Character

When asked Chiara what keeps her grounded and focused when performing, Chiara Gheller emphasized the importance of substitution. “I usually become the character by taking all their story, trauma, anecdotes, etc., and using the substitution technique to make them my own,” she explained. “This way, the language doesn’t matter anymore. I won’t feel disconnected from my character since the character becomes me, I become the character.”

This immersive approach allows her to connect with the character on a deeply personal level, transcending linguistic barriers and enabling a truly authentic performance. Furthermore, Chiara relies on the Meisner technique, learned from her mentor Timothy Landfield, which she finds incredibly effective in bringing her characters to life.

The “Eureka” Moment: Unlocking the Script

For Chiara, the most rewarding part of acting isn’t necessarily the bright lights of the set or the glamorous premiere. Instead, it’s the moment of profound understanding that comes with fully grasping the script.

“Of course, I love it when the camera, or the lights, is on, the director calls ‘action,’ or the curtains opened, and I get to create, to be, and to change people’s day/night or life,” she admits. “But the feeling when you realize that everything makes sense, when you finally fully understand your character and the story, to me, it feels like a ‘Eureka.’”

A Year Defined by Perseverance

When asked to describe her year in a single word, Chiara chose “Perseverance.”  This powerful word encapsulates her unwavering commitment to her craft and her understanding that success requires dedication and time.

“We hear it a lot because it’s true,” she stated. “Rome wasn’t made in one day; babies take an average of 9 months to come out, and studies can take up to 10 years or more. To reach our goals will take the needed time, whether it be 1 year or 10. If this is truly the path you chose for yourself, you need to keep working on your craft and never forget about the passion. If this becomes a burden, though, it might be time to look into yourself.”

With her talent, dedication, and grounded approach, Chiara Gheller is poised for continued success in the film industry. Keep up to date with all filmography by following Chiara Gheller on official social sites below.
