Star Spotlight: Actor and Filmmaker Isaiah Kainoa Confirms Involvement in Visionary Film—“The“ Polyverse”  

Isaiah Kainoa, born on March 8, 2000, in the vibrant city of Honolulu, Hawaii, was raised on the west side of Oahu. In the entertainment industry, he is known for his work as an actor, Instagram social influencer, and, increasingly, as a skilled videographer. His most notable works include appearances in popular series like “Hawaii Five-0” (2020) and “Magnum P.I.” (2019 & 2020), as well as roles in films like “E Malama Pono Willy Boy” (2023) and the upcoming “Next Goal Wins” (2024).

The Polyverse: A Passion for Polynesian Stories

Beyond his individual projects, Isaiah is deeply involved with “The Polyverse,” an independent film production company dedicated to creating films and series rooted in Polynesian culture and stories. He contributes to The Polyverse both as an actor and as their second videographer, showcasing his commitment to amplifying Polynesian voices and perspectives in the world of film.  

When asked about the most significant lesson learned from his early experiences in entertainment, Isaiah emphasized the invaluable experience of starting his career in front of the camera. “Having my career start in front of a camera made my transition to behind the camera so much easier,” he explained. “Having that sense of what directors or what actors want, I’m able to take those notes and implement them whenever I’m behind the camera.”  

A Year of Blessings: A Word from Isaiah

If he could describe his year so far in a single word, Isaiah chooses “Blessing.” Despite the year being young, he expresses immense gratitude for the opportunities that have come his way. “Even though this year has just started, I’ve had so many blessings. To film and be apart from three different groups that are all working [on] different things has been so fun.”

Specifically, Isaiah highlights the joy of working alongside a close friend, whom he considers a “big brother,” on independent film projects with The Polyverse. He also cherishes supporting AASL (Always Always Support Local), an organization dedicated to making a positive impact on the local Hawaiian community. Finally, he acknowledges the instrumental role of Mayjah League Hawaii, the clothing brand that ignited his passion for media and film, for providing him with invaluable opportunities.

Shining a Light on Current Projects

During our interview, Isaiah emphasizes his deep sense of gratitude for the opportunity to work with these three distinct groups, each playing a vital role in his personal and professional growth. His journey from actor to filmmaker is a showcase of his versatility, dedication, and passion for filmmaking. As he continues to master his skills behind the camera, Isaiah Kainoa also emphasized he hopes to continue to create stories that share his culture and bring light to his community for many years to come!
