When asked about the moment her passion for writing ignited, Dezarie shared that it began in her younger years: “I actually started writing as a younger child, maybe 12 years old. I started out writing poetry. As I grew older and became an actress, writing became my way of creating my own opportunities in the entertainment industry. I began writing books in hopes of making them screenplays one day.”
Unforgettable On-Set Experience:
Dezarie shared her experience working on a set with Tyler Perry.
Working with Tyler Perry on “Sisters In Italy”: “When I worked with Tyler Perry as an extra on his upcoming Netflix project together with Tika Sumpter, “Sisters In Italy”. When I signed up for the role, I knew I’d be going to Tyler Perry Studios; however I never knew I’d actually get to meet Tyler Perry himself. He is the most humble man in his position that I have ever met. When he sat next to me, I really thought I’d pass out. He spoke to me, and my mouth dropped open. He said you can speak back; it’s ok. After the first scene was over, I was invited for more screen time (by Tyler Perry’s staff), where I became a featured extra. That has to be the most exciting memory I have on set to date.”

Dezarie revealed her favorite aspect of acting: “I love being on set and watching it all come to life. I love watching all the different ranges in real time as they quickly transform.”
