Actor Ezekiel Ajeigbe, known for his roles in popular TV series and films such as Dynasty (2017), Outer Banks (2020), and Seal Team on CBS, recently confirmed being one of the executive producers for the highly anticipated horror/thriller movie, “The Grove.”
“The Grove,” starring Acoryé White, Carl Anthony Payne II, Psalms Salazar , is already generating buzz within the genre. The film had an exclusive release in select theaters throughout the US, including AMC, Malco Theaters, Star Cinema Grill, and Look Dine in Cinemas.
A Look Inside The Movie
“The Grove” plunges viewers into a chilling narrative centered on Terrance, a Black Ops soldier seeking a better life for himself and his fiancée, Alice. To achieve this, he undergoes a risky experiment. However, his homecoming takes a dark turn when he discontinues his medication, leading to a terrifying descent into feral madness.
A Collaboration Rooted in Friendship and Shared Passion
We had the opportunity to speak with Ezekiel Ajeigbe about his involvement in “The Grove,” uncovering the personal connection driving his collaboration and revealing he has a cameo role in the film. Ajeigbe shared that his friendship with lead actor Acoryé White was a key factor in his decision to join the project. Their connection dates back to 2016, when they first met at an audition in Atlanta, GA, for a sci-fi/fantasy series titled “The Rejects: Origins.” “The process was very ‘workshop style,’ so we got to see everyone’s take on different characters,” Ajeigbe recounted. “After seeing him perform & vice versa, we’ve been in touch ever since.”
“Acoryé is a good friend of mine,” Ajeigbe explained, “so when he told me he was making a movie, I had to come through for him & assist in any way I could.”
A Shared History in Horror
Beyond their initial meeting, Ajeigbe and White have a prior collaborative experience in the horror genre. In 2019, they worked together on a thriller/horror project titled “Dread,” which was featured on Crypt TV. This shared experience furthered creative synergy and made Ajeigbe’s involvement in “The Grove” a natural progression. The Grove has already received high ratings on IMDb!
